# REST API

The Variable REST API has endpoints for managing Products, Materials, Models and Activities.

## Pre-requisites

You need an API User with an API Key. Account admins can manage API Users in [users](https://app.variable.global/users).

### Rate limit

To ensure the best performance for all users, we have a rate limit of **10 requests per second**.
